Update sent from Sam Rohrer:

Dear All:

As we move closer to the return to session, I thought it would be a
good time to update you all on the next steps in our pursuit of total
school property tax elimination.

A week ago I circulated the co-sponsorship memo, a copy of which is attached.  Late yesterday afternoon, the attached press release was sent  out statewide.  As you will see when you review the attachments, what essentially has been done is to combine all the bills into a single bill
that includes the changes as discussed on the floor of the House in June.  The press release goes into greater detail about these changes.

No matter where anyone goes around this state it is cleary evident that Act 1 is absolutely unacceptable.  The Plan for PA's Future remains the only plan that addresses the range of of problems facing public education, taxpayers and homeowners. In addition, you should know that the passage of the Plan for PA's Future would, of necessity, eliminate
Act 1.

There remains a good window of opportunity to advance this issue.  We need everyone to be encouraging their representative to co-sponsor this legislation. Keep the pressure on to eliminate the school property tax
by passing the Plan for PA's Future!

Sincerely,
Rep. Sam Rohrer
